Yosakoi Tsugaru Street Dancing(End of June)
Yosakoi Tsugaru is a combination of YosakoiSouran [Yosakoi festival forms from Kochi prefecture of Shikoku and Soranbushi(fisherman’s music) from Hokkaido ] and Hirosaki’s cultures. About 30 dance teams practicing hard for this festival and perform Yosakoi dance wearing colorful and unique costumes in the Dotemachi Street.
Not only Aomori teams but also other prefectures teams participate this and dance with original Soran music. Even just watching this festival, you can enjoy the dynamic dancing and rhythmical Soran songs. The street is filled with enthusiasm and applause. Dotemachi street will be kept completely free of cars around 10 am to 4 pm and open stalls on the street.
