弘前公園 (Hirosaki Park)
Hirosaki Park is a symbol of Hirosaki City is loved by citizens and tourist as a place of relaxation and peacefulness. This park is the ruins of a Hirosaki castle where Tsugaru clan resided. There are a lot of precious cultural assets in the park. A castle tower, 3 turrets including Tatsumi Yagura(turret), Ushitora Yagura(turret) and Hitsujisaru Yagura(turret) and 5 Yagura-mon Gates including Ote-mon Gate, Higashi-mon Gate, Minamiuchi-mon Gate and Kita-mon(Kamenoko-mon) Gate are still has remained intact over the years and those are designated as a National Important Cultural Property and selected one of Japan's 100 Best Castles.
